Stagnation study that lifted residual compliance

A northern governorate asked us to explain falling chlorine residuals in one distribution zone. We mapped residual at 46 sampling points, traced the dead-end mains where water sat longest, and delivered a flushing and valve-sequencing plan its operators could run themselves.

Client voice

“AquaNet’s stagnation findings were directly actionable. We changed our flushing schedule within a week.”

Services built around your network

From the first sample to the final recommendation, our engineers work alongside operators and contractors to understand how water behaves inside the network, and to keep it safe, fresh and reliable at every tap. Explore the full list of what we offer below.

Water quality sampling and analysis, water age and stagnation assessment, network performance studies, instrumentation and monitoring guidance, operational and infrastructure recommendations, and technical support for operators and contractors.

Our Services

  • 01.

    Water Quality Analysis

Comprehensive water quality sampling and laboratory analysis for distribution networks, storage facilities, and supply systems. The service evaluates physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters to identify compliance risks, contamination sources, and treatment performance issues. Clients receive a documented findings report with prioritized corrective actions and an option to request follow-up support.

  • 02.

    Water Age Assessment

Hydraulic and operational assessment of water age, stagnation zones, and residence times throughout a water distribution network. The study identifies low-demand areas, oversized pipelines, storage-related delays, and locations vulnerable to declining water quality. Clients receive practical recommendations for flushing, operational adjustments, and network improvements.

  • 03.

    Network Performance Study

A structured performance review of water network hydraulics, operational reliability, infrastructure condition, and monitoring capabilities. The service combines available utility data, field observations, and system analysis to identify pressure issues, service weaknesses, instrumentation gaps, and infrastructure priorities. A detailed technical report provides a prioritized improvement roadmap for utilities, developers, and contractors.

How a study is run

Step 1

Scoping and data review

We review your network records and agree the study questions. You receive a scoping note and a data gap list within two weeks.

STEP 02

Field sampling and setup

Our team installs instruments and collects samples across the network. You receive a sampling log and calibration record over three to four weeks.

STEP 03

Hydraulic and water age modelling

We build and calibrate a model of flows and water age. You receive the calibrated model and findings over four to six weeks.

STEP 04

Reporting and recommendations

We rank operational and infrastructure actions by impact. You receive a full report and a briefing within two weeks.

Field notes for operators

Our technical journal covers residual chlorine decay, SCADA sensor placement and non-revenue water, written plainly by the engineers who work on these networks every day.

Latest posts from the journal appear below, newest first, so you can follow the practical lessons from recent site visits.
